This is a lovely English chintz cup and saucer made by Foley E. Brain, England between 1948-1963. The interior of the cup is a very pale yellow and the design is a gold foliage overlay with hand painted enamel flowers, gold trim and burnished gold cup foot and handle. This is a Royal Doulton, England flow blue transferware plate in the Geneva pattern made 1895-1900. It ironstone plate measures 10.5 nches in diameter and has a landscape dseign with water mill, lake and goats. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is a very tiny unglazed dot on the front on the water mill roof, which is not unusual for items of this age. A wonderful and very collectible plate by a famous English company.
