This is an original framed oil painting on board by Otto Paul Herbig (1881-1954) in the 1920s (my grandfather) as a way to clean his brushes at the end of the day painting the backgrounds for all the dioramas at the Museum of Natural History in San Francisco, California. He is a Listed artist in Davenports. The frame was added in the last 20 years and is a vintage gesso swirl with gold highlights and some show of age and paint loss on back.
