This is a very pretty English chintz with birds biscuit jar, barrel or cracker jar made in England by the Midwinter, England now a part of Wedgwood. The biscuit barrel has a lovely floral and bird chintz design that is called Lorna Doone or Birds. The biscuit barrel is 5.5 inches high by 4.5 inches in diameter or 10 inches high with the handle. This is a rare Shelley China, England tea cup and saucer in the Melody Chintz pattern, number 12973 in the Chester shape with gold trim made with this pattern, shape and mark only in 1940. The cup is 2.15 inches high and the saucer is 5.5 in diameter. The cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and were found on our last English buying trip in Cornwall. This is a Bermuda Chintz tab handled cake plate by Myott, Son and Company, England from the 1930s. This ironstone platter or tab handled cake plate measures 10.5 inches high by 11.5 inches wide.
