This is a fabulous antique cranberry glass hyacinth or bulb vase or jar used to force bulbs to bloom indoors that was made 1880-1900. I bought it in England. It is mouth blown, a rich cranberry color and stands 8.5 inches high with a ground pontil. The glass is about 1/8 inch thick. There are caliper marks to be vaguely seen along the sides. Bulb or hyacinth vases were very popular in the mid to late victorian era because of a fad of interest in botany and growing things indoors in glass houses ...click for details

This is a set of 6 clear glass individual open salts, salt dips or salt cellars that I brought home from England. The salts measure 1.5 inches square by .75 inch high. The salt dips were made in the 1960-1970s and have no chips or cracks but do have an occasional internal casting bubble. The salts have a star bottom and are a fun and practical addition to a dinner table. This salt is pictured on page 144 of the guide 5000 Open Salts by Heacock and Johnson. This is a neat antique pressed glass open salt, salt dip or salt cellar with a cut scalloped and toothed rim I brought home from England recently. This little salt has waffle panels with daisies and 4 feet and was made in the 1920s and measures 1.75 inches high by 2.5 inches in diameter. The open salt, salt dip or salt cellar is in very good condition but does have minor rim chipping and is a great little piece. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $7.90.
