I don't know if you would call the pattern pressed into the bottom of this master salt dish I brought home recently from England a leaf or a star. This is a very old master open salt or salt dip, dating to 1890-1910. It measures 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches by 2.75 inches high. It is in very good condition but it does have a small shallow chip on a bottom corner measuring approximately .75 of an inch. You can only see it if you turn the piece over. Otherwise very good. This is the cutest set of b ...click for details

This is a fabulous sugar bowl in the shape of a coal scuttle that is called a sugar scuttle. The sugar scuttle was made in England in the 1920-1930s of pressed blue glass with a wire handle or bale and was to hold lumps or cubes of sugar. I have often had silver scuttles but this is the first glass scuttle I have found on my antiquing in England. The scuttle measures 3 inches high by 4 inches long by 2 inches wide and is in excellent condition. A very unique and cute addition to any tea table. S ...click for details

This is a fabulous antique cranberry glass hyacinth or bulb vase or jar used to force bulbs to bloom indoors that was made 1880-1900. I bought it in England. It is mouth blown, a rich cranberry color and stands 8.5 inches high with a ground pontil. The glass is about 1/8 inch thick. There are caliper marks to be vaguely seen along the sides. Bulb or hyacinth vases were very popular in the mid to late victorian era because of a fad of interest in botany and growing things indoors in glass houses ...click for details
