The knife rest is of faceted, cut crystal with a diamond cut handle and hexagonal ends. The condition is good ++ with no cracks or major chips but there are tiny use chips and wear which give it character. It is about 3 inches in length and was made in England in the 1890-1900s. The hardware is marked Walker and Hall, England with their mark for 1891-1896. The company was in Sheffield. The pattern of the biscuit jar is a diamond, waffle and fan design. This is a heavy quality piece.
