This creamy white stoneware pie vent, pie bird or pie funnel was made in the 1950s and is marked Made In England but no manufacturer but is just like those manufactured at the same time by the Nutbrown company of England. The Nutbrown comapny has been making pie vents in England for 50 years or more. The pie vent was almost certainly made in Staffordshire England and I got it in the Potteries district recently. This is a pair of pre victorian English antique hallmarked sterling silver sugar tongs or sugar nips. The sugar tongs measure 6 inches long and are hallmarked for London, England in 1822 which means before Queen Victoria came to the thrown in the Regency period. The sugar tongs have the a gothic script monogram FM on the bow. The sugar tongs have spoon ends and a Georgian design. They are in excellent condition from an historic period. Beau Brummel or Jane Austen would have loved them.

This is a fabulous sugar bowl in the shape of a coal scuttle that is called a sugar scuttle. The sugar scuttle was made in England in the 1920-1930s of pressed blue glass with a wire handle or bale and was to hold lumps or cubes of sugar. I have often had silver scuttles but this is the first glass scuttle I have found on my antiquing in England. This is a neat eggcup features the animated Aardman characters, stars of screen and video, Wallace and Gromit. The single pedestal ceramic eggcup was made in England in 1989 by W and G, England. This is an antique English cruet set consisting of a salt shaker, pepper shaker and mustard with spoon and original cobalt blue glass liners I brought home from England recently. The set is marked EPNS and was made 1920-1930s. The salt shaker and the mustard pot are 2.25 inches high and the pepper shaker is slightly smaller as it has no finial. This is an antique English knife rest or knife holder with quatrefoil pierced fancy ends and part barley twist bar. The knife rest measures 1.5 inches high by 3.5 inches long by 1.5 inches wide, made of EPN silver plated metal and was made in England 1880-1900. The knife rest is in excellent condition. The sugar tongs are marked in the inside of the bow but I can't make it out, but they were made in England 1930-1940s and measure 4.5 inches long. This is an English victorian hand faceted crystal knife rest shaped like a barbell or dumbell with faceted ball ends made in England 1890-1910. The large crystal carving knife rest measures 1.5 inches high by 5 inches long and is in very good condition with only 2 minor facet chips and general facet wear. This is a great pair of sterling silver sugar tongs with claw ends made by Wm.B.Durgin of Concord, New Hampshire USA. I believe the pattern is called Chatham. The marks or the D for Durgin, Sterling Pat'd and the tongs date 1900-1920. The box has a gothic engraved initial C, I think. The tongs measure 3.75 inches long and would add elegance to any tea table.

This is a vintage clear pressed glass cheese dish called a Sanitary Cheese Preserver from the 1930s. The dish measures 6.5 inches high by 7.5 inches in diameter and features an internal stand. The directions are on the lid Keep cheese in foil, parchment or waxed paper. Put plain water in bottom. Change twice weekly. Maytag Dairy Farms, Newton, Iowa.
