This is a set of 6 clear glass individual open salts, salt dips or salt cellars that I brought home from England. The salts measure 1.5 inches square by .75 inch high. The salt dips were made in the 1960-1970s and have no chips or cracks but do have an occasional internal casting bubble. The salts have a star bottom and are a fun and practical addition to a dinner table. This salt is pictured on page 144 of the guide 5000 Open Salts by Heacock and Johnson. This is an antique English pewter art deco figural knife rest in the shape of a squirrel I brought home from England. I cleaned it up because it was grungy and now I love it! The knife rest measures 3.75 inches long by 1 inch wide by 1.5 inch high. The squirrel is sitting up eating an acorn and the bar is his elongated tail. It was made between 1910-1920s. It is in very good condition and certainly a conversation starter and very collectible!

I bought this white porcelain pie bird in England. It is also called a pie vent or pie funnel. It measures 4 inches high by 2 inches wide by 2 inches deep. It has been used--has some staining. This English pie bird is called a Knobler and was made 1990-1995. I thought it was cute! Pie birds were developed in the 1500s to release steam from a baking pie so the filling didn't boil over. The knife rest has a daisy at each end, a fluted column bar and leaves on the outside of the ends. The knife rest is in excellent, mint condition.
