This is a neat set of English fireplace bellows I brought home from England recently. The fireplace accessory is 19 inches long by 7 inches wide and features a repousse or raised tavern scene in brass with a wood frame and faux leather bellows. The set was made in the 1950s and is in excellent condition. The bellows are functional and work and are very decorative hanging by the fireplace. This is a pretty yellow painted vintage wood English darning mushroom from Gloucester, England. It is made of painted turned wood and measures 4.5 inches long by 2.5 inches in diameter. It was obviously used as there are quite a few scratches on the head where the needle grazed during darning, but generally in very good condition. This wooden or treen oak darner has a turned handle with 2 incised rings and measures 4.5 inches long by 2.25 inches in diameter. It has great patina and I love the use scars on it. This wooden or treen oak darner measures 3.5 inches long by 2.75 inches in diameter with a hand turned handle and dates from the 1880-1900. This is a wonderful item of victoriana. This is an antique ivory glove stretcher dating 1880-1890s. The glove stretcher measures 8 inches long and has a scissor action pivoting on an internal bone wheel. The action has a tight return and I don't know the mechanics but it works beautifully. This is an antique victorian funeral remembrance card or momento mori for Achsa McClary died May 27, 1898 aged 49 years 6 months. These cards were given out at the funeral and kept as a remembrance as well as sent to relatives and friends who couldn't attend the funeral. This is a fabulous antique woven sewing basket dating 1910-1930s and measuring 4 inches high and 9 inches in diameter. The basket is in excellent condition and most of the original decorations are there including beads, a chinese coin and celluloid rings and bar. I think another coin a several beads have been removed. But it is very difficult to find one with any of the original decorations and an intact undamaged basket. Lovely!
