This is an exceptional souvenir bowl by the Empire china company of England made to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VIII of England on May 12, 1937. The coronation never happened because Edward abdicated the throne in order to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. The bowl has a squared shape, measures 1.5 inches high by 3.25 in diameter and has a sepia portait of the king who was never crowned surrounded by color decorations, flags, the Tudor rose, thistles and shamrocks. This is a great antique porcelain fairing or late victorian carnival prize showing a husband being punished by his wife for returning home at one o'clock in the morning. The hand painted fairing measures 3.25 inches long by 3 inches high by 2 inches wide. It has a typical victorian script title. This is a gorgeous and unusual Shelley China, England bone china cup and saucer in a combination pattern of a matte black saucer and cup exterior with a Blue Duchess pattern inside the cup and is pattern number 13610. This is a lovely antique victorian teacup and saucer dating 1880-1900 that is a bit smaller than a demitasse in an art nouveau pattern with purple luster, a molded shape and gold trim and is made of very thin porcelain. The cup is 2 inches high and the saucer is 2.5 in diameter that I got it on a recent trip to England. It shows some wear to the gold trim but otherwise no chips, cracks or restorations. Lovely!
