This is a cute mottoware, motto ware or Devon ware teacup and saucer from Royal Watcombe Torquay, Devon England. The cup and saucer set is a traditional cottage design with the name Tiree and the motto A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss. The cup measures 2.75 inches high and the saucer is 5 inches in diameter. This is a lovely 6 inch square blue and white glazed Delft or Delfts pottery tile from Holland. The tile has a motif of a large windmill and house on a canal bank with a circle frame with typical Delft stylized floral motifs. The tile is marked with a logo, Delfts Handpainted Made In Holland, a G in a wreath and the numbers 324 9 2 2. This is a wonderful antique mid victorian light brown stoneware pitcher or jug made in the 1870s by Dudson, Staffordshire England. The pitcher or jug is 8 inches high was hand thrown with a sprigged or applied white design of a grapes and grapevine and gothic borders. The pitcher or jug is unmarked but identical to those on The Potteries Dudson website and an identical jug is in the museum in Staffordshire. I bought this in Staffordshire recently. This is a lovely antique hand painted porcelain vase signed by the artist Wilma. It stands 9.5 inches high and has skillfully executed geraniums or nasturtiums and leaves in lovely warm colors. It has gold painted ceramic chain links for handles and is in very good ++ condition with no chips and only one small, faint hairline crack under one of the handles. This is a neat little vintage toby jug in the ordinary style of a man in 17th century dress with a hat and a drinking mug made in England in the 1920s by Keele Street Pottery or KSP.
