This is a great Margaret Keane Big Eyes print dating from the 1960s and entitled Circe. Whether that is the girl or dog, I don't know. It is really an evocative lithograph on board of a shapely pensive blonde reclining with a poodle by her side against a Hawaiian print background. This piece measures overall 26.75 inches high by 36.5 inches wide and is framed with an inch wide black painted wood frame. The image size is 34.5 inches by 22.25 inches. I got it from an estate in the San Francisco Bay Area that bought this from the Keanes (Margaret, I'm sure) in the 1960s. This hung in her bedroom. It has 3 small scratches on the frame--2 on the top and 1 on the bottom of the frame and corner scuffing and a .25 of an inch scratch on the print 9 inches from the upper right hand corner with a few tiny spots below the poodle. The print is mounted on board and was framed in the 1960s by the Custom Framed By A1 Paint & Art Company 368---- Redwood City, Cal. No area code or zip code which authenticates dating, who framed her other pieces. Unfortunately the foil sticker is gone. This is the last of 5 Keane's from the estate...the others were sold in our bricks and mortar antique shop. It is a great piece of 1960s art. Shipping and packing by commercial carrier as exceeds USPS allowable dimensional size limits, estimate $150.00 on the Pacific Coast.
