This is a necklace with a beautiful charm or pendant in sterling silver of a cartouche or word capsule with a scarab or beetle believed in egyptian mythology to push the sun across the sky on a sterling silver chain. The scarab cartouche pendant or charm measures .5 inch wide by 1 inch high and the chain is an 18 inch sterling silver rope chain with a roll clasp. The necklace was made in 1974 for the King Tutankhamun exhibit in San Francisco and was offered for sale at the museum. My family bought museum stock left from the exhibit in 1975. A very attractive piece in excellent condition. Shipping in the US by USPS first class insured is $5.92.
