This lovely antique art deco sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster was made in England 1920-1930s and features an art deco design called A Bit Of Old England with a thatched cottage in a garden. I brought it home from England recently but as it is unmarked I don't know where it was made. The sugar shaker is 7 inches high and 2.75 inches squared and made of ceramic with an EPNS lid and fitting. It is in very good ++ condition with no chips or cracks but has a tiny spot on the cottage and 2 letters of the title are partly missing where the transfer wasn't applied perfectly during manufacture. Very minor flaws. It would be a lovely accent to any table or shelf or use it! Sugar shakers or muffineers were used by the victorians to shake crushed or powdered sugar on their muffins or crumpets at tea. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured is $8.90.
