Funeral Card Achsa McClary 1898 Momento Mori Mint

This is an antique victorian funeral remembrance card or momento mori for Achsa McClary died May 27, 1898 aged 49 years 6 months. These cards were given out at the funeral and kept as a remembrance as well as sent to relatives and friends who couldn't attend the funeral. The card is of black cardboard and measures 6.5 inches high by 4.25 inches wide and is all in gold ink with a bird, bible and verse. The card was made by E.C.McGee, 39 Ann St. New York. The card is in very good condition with minor dogearing and 1 mark on back. These are quite difficult to find. The card is in excellent condition and comes with an archival sleeve.
