This is a beautiful antique jasper dip biscuit barrel in dark blue with a glazed white interior made by Wedgwood, England 1900-1918 with the applied white jasper design Sacrifice Figures. The biscuit or cookie jar measures 6 inches high by 5 inches in diameter and has unusual pewter fittings, bottom frame and 3 bun feet but the lid with a fancy finial is silver plate EPNS.
The biscuit jar or barrel is marked WEDGWOOD England on the bottom with a star symbol. The biscuit barrel or cookie jar is in very good condition with no chips and only 3 tiny cracks in the applied figures. The only flaw is a dent in the bottom rim of the pewter frame and a loss of plating on the lid. It is a fabulous piece of typical Wedgwood superior workmanship. Shipping in the US by USPS priority registered.
