This is a rare Shelley China, England tea cup and saucer in the Melody Chintz pattern, number 12973 in the Chested shape with gold trim made with this pattern, shape and mark only in 1940. The cup is 2.15 inches high and the saucer is 5.5 in diameter. The cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and were found on our last English buying trip in Cornwall.
