This is a ceramic teapot by Sadler, England that is part of the Russian Collection and is called Boris Godunov measuring 6 inches high and 7 inches wide. Boris Godunov was the hero of a Mussorgsky opera by that name. The story follows the tsar Boris Godunov as he grapples with the death of the child tsar on his way to the throne, the crime revealed, his repentence and suicide. ANYWAY the teapot has scenes from the opera, was made during the 1980s and is in excellent condition.
