This is an antique pearlware pitcher or jug made in Staffordshire England 1810-1830s in an applied sprigged design of flower baskets with molded beading, and other features in a blue and white design. The Regency period jug or pitcher measures 4.75 inches high by 6.75 inches long by 5 inches in diameter. The jug even has a blue painted line inside around the spout base. The jug is in very good condition with 3 tiny firing cracks to the applied sprigged decoration and a faint under glaze hairline on the base which doesn't go through to the inside. It was made during manufacture prior to glazing and firing and is quite often seen on these old pieces. A lovely example of early Staffordshire ceramics. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
