This is a vintage sugar sifting spoon from the Cunard White Star Line ocean liner the MV Britannic that was made between 1920-1930s. The sugar sifter or sugar sifting spoon measures 5 inches long by 1.5 in diameter and is made of EPNS silver plate with an applied enamel shield with the White Star flag and is in excellent, mint condition. The MV Britannic was built in 1929 and was used as a passenger liner between Southampton and New York from 1929 to her decommissioning in 1960. A wonderful piece of ocean liner memorabilia.
Sifting sugar onto muffins, crumpets and pancakes was a popular Victorian tea table ritual. Shipping in the US by USPS priority insured.
