FRIES" in serrated rectangle along with an eagle and "PHILA", for John Fries, Philadelphia, PA, who worked 1830-1850,shell tips, approximately 6" in length, great engraving, monogram "JEF" on arch in feather script. Very fine condition, only small bend on bottom of arch. I am sure that could be easily remedied by a competent jeweler or silversmith.

Circa 1800, Sheffield hot water or tea urn, unmarked, bone knob, overall wear and copper bleed through, no monograms or maker's mark, approximately 14" in height, approximately 8 1/2" wide between handles. Nice form. Fair condition, considerable copper bleed through, overall. Some dings, old repair to base of one handle (see photo), opening of spigot is bent, with other crinkles on the base. Despite these issues, a beautiful remnant of an elegant era.

A 9 3/4" cake plate, Copeland & Garrett, yellow, cobalt, and gilt, circa 1833-1847. Some wear to decoration and gilt (especially at edges), glaze shiny, some surface scratches, no crazing. Nice condition, no chips, cracks, repairs or, hairlines. Wear commensurate with use and age.
