Beautiful example of Nippon hand painted porcelain. The Blue Rising Sun hand painted mark, according to what I have read, represents the period of Noritake china, from 1890 to 1921.
The hand painted scene is a cottage by a lake with a boat dock and beautiful tree painted on the attached saucer; a japanese dinghy on the lake is painted on the egg cup. The cup is 2-1/2" tall and 4-1/4" wide.
The cup is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The gold rim is worn on the saucer as well as the cup.
