In years gone by the only form of paper advertising by shop owners was the colorful trading cards. These two soap cards are from the late 1890's or early 1900's. One reads Gowans & Stover U.G. soap with advertising on the back and a date of 188? Bay City Michi. John M. Kelton & Co. Dealers in groceries, provisions, dry good. A bend on the corner. The pictures shows a little girl pulling a boy in a cart. The other ad reads compliments of Fairchild and Shelton, Washing made easy by using Ozone Soap no ad on the back in good condition just a little wear on the edges. If you are a collector of trading cards you might want to consider these two.
