This beautiful unsigned print by Roger Tory Peterson shows two Mourning Doves on the top branch, another bird feeding the bird in a nest. Very good condition. With the matting the outside dimensions are 12 x 16 inches. Inside picture 8 x 11.On the back it reads by Roger Tory Peterson. Mr. Peterson (1908)1996)was an instructor and writer of many books. The mourning dove, or Carolina turtle dove, as it was called in Audubon's day is found in every state in the Union. Ca. 1950's I am not sure on this date, it could have been done earlier.
