Export tea cup, commonly called geisha ware or egg shell. Hand painted scene of Japanese ladies in a landscape. Quality is typical for this time period. Tiny rim chip, wear to gold paint, overall good condition. Made in early 1920s. No mark. 2" H x 3 3/4" diam.

Made during the 1920-1930 period, when Japan ruled Korea. Typical Ichimatsu doll construction, paper-mache and pressed wood composition body and head, covered with gofun (crushed oyster shell paste). Costume is wonderful. White pants under pink skirt, Korean shoes and hat that covers her hair bun. In excellent condition, small rub on end of noise, no other damage noted, clothing is not faded. 11" high.
