You are buying a pair of Mahogany and brass bookends with a Nautical theme. High gloss finish to the wood and quality book ends in weight and appearance. The photos pretty much show it all. Even the backs are finished on these, and the underside of the bases are felt lined. The anchors are both different, giving the set a right and a left. This vintage old tin lidded lard pail with original lid is in great vintage condition. There is minor surface rust to mention (mostly on the inside) and it could use a good cleaning. But we will leave that task to the new owner. I only see 1 minor pressure dent that can be pushed out. Can’t you just see this sitting on Grandma’s stove, saving that bacon grease for cooking?? Fill with Holiday Candy .. nice gift for the collector in your life. Thanks for looking!
