length seven inches. No monogram, heavy (11.0 oz. Troy the set), generously proportioned and in fine condition with only slight wear to the high points. Given Yours Truly's horrible proclivities toward fussiness, we do have one complaint: they're a bit over-polished and much oxidation has been removed from the low areas. Time, however, will cure this sin...
unmarked but probably Scandinavian circa 1880, diameter 5 7/8 inches, enamel appears to be perfect and we've found no breaks in the silver. Add a zero on to our price and you still couldn't buy a new one of comparable quality...
a header which may alas place us in shady company, length 2 3/8 inches, with snuff/tobacco spoon, pipe scraper, and tamper that doubles as a seal (see fourth photo for positive image). Superb condition.
(1981) but of extraordinarily fine craftsmanship, height 2 1/4, bottom diameter 1 3/8 inches, weight 1.56 oz. Troy, gilt interior and die rolled band above foot, superb condition. Put this in your dollhouse and give all those little folks a chance to get snockered...
One would expect something out of the ordinary from Gorham, and indeed our piece is no square. It has two acute and two obtuse angles, making the corner to corner dimensions 6 5/8 and 7 1/2 inches. This along with some superb Philadelphia style brite cut engraving make for a rather unusual item. Weight 4.7 oz Troy, date letter J for 1877, fine condition, stylized monogram in center.
circa 1825, length 8 1/2 inches, mass 60.25 grams, monogram "HW" script obverse. Now that coin silver has been featured (and Yours Truly quoted) in Victoria Magazine, September/October 2008, prices are bound to skyrocket. Click fast and send us and order, before we redo our price structure to reflect the times...
1836, 2 3/4 by 1 5/8 by 5/8 inches, no monogram, gilt interior, weight 2.2 oz. Troy, some corners have minor dents which we show in excruciating detail (see photos three & four) but good overall condition, great color, and reasonably priced.
a splashy if not terribly heavy (2.8 oz. Troy) piece of silver with a well engraved parcel gilt bowl, length 9 1/8 inches. There's tiny bit of waviness to the rear cartouche, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy (this too minor to show up in a photo-- see image four) but the overall condition is superb and it's priced to sell quickly.
Halifax circa 1825, length 13 inches, superb color and condition, weight 7.82 oz. Troy, with crest and period monogram "IFS". The best piece of Canadian silver we've ever had the privilege to offer on these pages...
length 6 inches, monogrammed "RBK", excellent condition. In deference to those collectors who find it difficult to abide by someone else's initials, we've made these tantalizingly cheap...
