This exciting Haitian oil on canvas is 20" x 23 1/2", in a 25 1/2" x 29 3/4" wooden frame. The sailboats are colorful on a bright blue background. Signed C.E.St. Charles(?). Dated 1974.
This is a wonderful Wood Block Print by Joseph English, entitled 'Summer Steeds'. It is 12" x 19", numbered 9/60, signed and dated '77. I spoke with Mr. English about this wood block, which is one of a series.
This is an old photograph, charcoal enhanced I believe, approximately 20" x 16". There are stains in the bottom right corner and you can see where it was faded from earlier frame. Black distressed frame, 25" x 20 7/8", by Roma Frame, Canada.
This watercolor is 7" x 10 1/2" in a 15 3/4" x 18 3/4" wooden frame. 'Collector's Item' by Phillis Ballew. Ms. Ballew has shown in juried shows in Northern and Southern California, Arizona and most recently a one person show in the Governor's Office of Oklahoma.
This print, 12" x 7 3/4", is entitled 'Black Footed Penguin, Puffin and Razorbill' from Edwards' Gleanings of Natural History. The penguin drawing is dated 1745 and the puffin and razorbill drawings are dated Aug. 7, 1761. Plate #94 from 'The Art of Bird Illustration'.
This small 6 1/4" wall hanging 'Blindfolded Cherub' was modeled by Giamelli, and is signed 'Giamelli, Made in Italy.' It is marble composite and is a highly detailed cherub holding an upside down cornucopia with money spilling out.
