Glass From The Past

$95

This Cambridge Glass #520 6" small Buddha is in excellent condition, except for its bottom base, which is chipped along 3/4 of the outside rim of the base (see pictures 4 and 5). The base is likely chipped because these were sometimes sold as bookends or to lamp companies for fitting into lamp parts; often, the entire base is missing when these rare buddhas can be found at all. This listing also includes a 7" ebony (glass) stand (used by Cambridge for its figurines and Swan punch bowls ...click for details

$100

This Cambridge 13 1/4" Draped Lady Flower Frog in Crystal with a Type I (Scalloped) Base is in very good condition. As is common with this type base, there are significant swirling in the glass in the base with some charcoal bits (see picture 3) and some internal heat stress fractures in a few of the holes. Two of the fractures result in a very small chip at the base edge (see picture 4). There are no chips, cracks, scratches, etc on the lady herself except what looks like a couple splashes ...click for details

These vintage crystal (clear; the blue is the background) animal motif muddlers each have a different, hand blown animal on the top; the muddler stems are hollow and capped at the bottom. All are in excellent condition; the only flaw I can find is an internal partial 1/4" fracture or stress mark at the bottom of the dachsund (does not fracture all the way through; cannot be felt). Figures include: a Scottie dog, a Dachshund, a duck, a swan, an elephant, a squirrel and a dolphin.

Fenton Glass made this 5 1/2" high Rose Bowl in Blue Royale (cobalt) from the Cambridge Caprice mold it bought when Cambridge Glass went out of business. The cobalt is a bit lighter than Cambridge's Royal Blue and the crimped top is a slightly different treatment from the original Caprice design. This vase (Fenton's Item #9751KK) is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or roughness and is embossed (faintly) with Fenton's F in an oval underneath. Made c 1950s and 1960s.

This is a beautiful ebony black flower frog box, c. 1920s and 30s. It's in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, etc. The lid is professionally ground and polished on one end; both flower boxes I have are like this, so I believe this was done in manufacturing to remove excess glass or to adjust the size after the top came out of the mold; the top isn't too short for the bottom of the box. The glass is so polished, it doesn't look like it was done later on. There are pads on the 2 fe ...click for details
