Like those towels, these had never been used and had faint storage lines and a musty smell – I have laundered, lightly starched, and ironed them and they turned out great with vivid colors! Very nice ethnic chalkware pieces! There are two in listing and each has a hook at bottom to hang a potholder. Measure 5” long, 5 ¼” wide (at widest) and are in very good condition with evidence of use and age. They have color wear that is attractive to the pieces instead of detracting, one has sustained a chip to and by his thumb that someone touched up with black marker (see photo), has sustained a slice type chip to a top corner of the watermelon, and has another older chip on the back.
