Produced only 1967-68, this is McCoy’s fireplace cookie jar and it retains a lot of the original cold paint! It is in very good condition with several slice type chips on bottom dry ring (see photos). Bottom is marked USA. Nice cookie jar, nicely priced!
This listing has a McCoy yellow pepper cookie jar! Instead of the lemony yellow color usually found on these jars, this one is a rich deep yellow – like smile face cups! Jar is in wonderful condition with minor bottom (interior) crazing and there are a few slightly darkened craze marks on top – a few are visible with lid on the jar. The lid (underneath) has a few small (1/4”) production stress marks – they are production, not from “use”. The only “use” evidence is the crazing on the jar. This is ...click for details

Although not in perfect condition, I purchased this McCoy cookie jar because of the unusual coloring! McCoy’s yellow apple cookie jars normally have a pink/peach color “blush” accent coloring – this jar has more blush than usually found. In fact, it would appear as if the yellow color is the accent color – please see photos. As with so many of these jars, the leaf “handle” has a couple dings – one on top of stem measures ¼” and is a shallow glaze ding that could be color touched-up or easily rep ...click for details
