This is such a neat towel – I originally purchased it to embroider for my linen collection. Please see photo for details – the towel doesn’t require a lot of embroidery because the “private eye” is apparently invisible. Towel has original price tag of 39 cents from S.S. Kresge Co.
This is a vintage quilt kit – top, binding, and instructions – to complete a beautiful baby quilt titled “Sweet Dreams”. Quilt is stamped cross-stitch and embroidery, cut size is 42” x 60” with finished size 40” x 58”. This is a “Progress” quilt, no. 1529, and lists the thread requirements, backing, etc. that are needed to complete the quilt.
Made by J. & P. Coats, this is a counted cross-stitch kit titled “Love is Kind”. Never opened, kit contains cotton embroidery floss, gold beads, 14 count ivory Aida, thread holder and instructions. It has a copyright date of 1994.
I have 3 of these Kinkade stocking kits! They’re the “Sunday Evening Sleigh Ride”, kit No. 51102. These are embellished cross stitch kits and per package, the finished size is 12" x 17". Also per package, "kit contains: design printed in full color on 14-count polyester/cotton Aida cloth, 100% cotton floss, decorative threads, needle, chart, and easy-to-follow instructions".
