The previous owner of these had repeated stories that these may have been Maggie & Jiggs from the early comic strip Bringing up father. Though it looks like them, I believe they are just the Frozen Charlotte and Charlie bride and groom cake toppers from Long long ago. They are made of hand painted bisque porcelain, and the paint is fantastic for their age with no fading. He measures 2 5/8" and she is 2 1/2" tall. Made in Japan stamp on his feet. This is such an adorable little doll. Hand painted head, hands and feet. Cloth body. I think her body is new. I know NOTHING about old dolls! But, this one does say Germany in the back of the neck and something elsle that looks like MED with in a square with other marks. Anyway she is cute and in perfect condition and is 10" tall.
