Geo. Sharp 'Emperor' aka 'Louis XIV' Unusual Coin Silver Serving Fork
Silver : Coin Silver : Serving Pieces
Old Friends
3659f $105.00
Measuring 7 3/4" long and weighing 2.0 T. oz., this fork has rounded shoulders and three wide and lengthy tines, the outer two of which are splayed. The form is uncommon and hence of uncertain function. It may be a spinach or toast/bread fork, or for another purpose yet. The proportions assure it is definitely original and not adapted from another piece as, for example, most potato forks are derived from dinner forks. two Howard sterling candlesticks model 4535
Silver : Sterling : Hollowware
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
2360 $275.00
height 7 3/8 inches, 3 1/4 inches across base, weight 11.75 Troy ounces, no monogram. Please note that these are not weighted.
There are some condition issues. One (on left in photo) has some dents in the side panels; the bobeche on the other is a bit wavy. Also, though they bear the same model number, one is decorated with beading and the other with "rope."
Keep in mind that when your table is lit with candle light, the guests will simply say "what lovely pair of candlesticks!"

Shiebler CHRYSANTHEMUM tea caddy 2286
Silver : Sterling : Hollowware
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
2347 Sold
height 3; diameter 4 inches, weight 7.11 Troy ounces, excellent original condition, monogrammed as shown in second enlargement. A great design which makes use of both applied and repoussé'd decoration.
These come and go, but I don't think we've ever owned one where the chasing is so crisp and the original oxidation hasn't been at least partially removed by some overzealous owner.
Finally, for those of you who favor comparison shopping, see item 223105898219 on the big bad auction... Click for details
