Offered is a lovely American coin silver spoon by Philadelphia maker Henry McKeen, working from about 1823 to about 1865; this piece probably dates to 1850 or earlier. It is initialed "JES" in period engraved script, and has a legible maker's mark and the Philadelphia eagle trademark, which may or may not be a manufacturer's mark used by the Wilson brothers. Offered is a very beat up American coin silver spoon by noted Hagerstown, Maryland silversmith and clockmaker Arthur Johnston, featuring one of at least three marks attributed to him. This spoon has a very clear maker's mark and also features a period engraves script monogram of "MC". This spoon measures about 5 5/8 inches in length, and weighs about 13 grams. Offered is an excellent pair of American coin silver spoons by the little-known partnership of Titlow & Fry, working in Philadelphia circa 1844-48. The maker's mark used by this partnership seems to be quite rare in that no example was found for the book "Philadelphia Silversmiths" by Catherine Hollan, though the mark is described in the book. This pair of spoons is heavy and well made; the spoons measure about 6 1/8 inches in length on average, and weigh a total of about 41 grams...

Offered is a nice American coin silver teaspoon marked FARNHAM&OWEN, for a partnership that I've been unable to pin down as to location. I doubt this piece was made in Boston, despite having been attributed to a Farnham there. This piece should date to about 1825-45 based on style, but could be a little older or younger. It features a clear maker's mark and a period engraved script monogram of "SJC". This spoon measures about 5 11/16 inches in length, and weighs about 13 grams...

Offered is a good early American coin silver teaspoon marked A*E and engraved with a period script "A" owner's initial. This maker's mark has been attributed to Windham, CT silversmith Alfred Elderkin, working there circa 1780s until sometime in the first decades of the 19th Century. The maker's mark on this spoon is clear and legible. This spoon measures about 5 5/16 inches in length and weighs about 10 grams...

Offered is a very good American coin silver teaspoon by little-known Massachusetts silversmith Earl Woodworth (1802-64), working in Hampden, MA circa 1820-25, and in Springfield, MA circa 1825-50. This spoon appears to date to Woodworth's Springfield period.

This spoon has a good strike of Woodworth's maker's mark of E.WOODWORTH in a serrated punch, with the "E" slightly rubbed but still legible. There is also a very nicely engraved period script monogram of "BR"...

Offered is a good American coin silver teaspoon by Boston silversmith Joseph Foster (1759-1839), an apprentice of Benjamin Burt. He apprenticed from 1774-81 and then worked on his own from 1781 until about 1830 in Boston. This spoon should date to somewhere in the 1810-25 range by style. It is engraved with a period script initial "E" for the original owner, and has a clear, legible strike of Foster's maker's mark. This piece is not for sale, but I will offer $15 off your next order (or a coin silver teaspoon of my choice, if you prefer), if you can definitively solve the mark on this spoon, which appears to date to about the 1815-35 timeframe. The mark is PITKIN in primitive letters (with a reversed final "N") in a rectangular punch. The drop is a well-defined semi-circle. The period engraved script monogram runs lengthwise. This piece measures about 6 1/4 inches in length and weighs about 14 grams...

This piece is engraved "Lee" in period script to the reverse, and has a clear maker's mark. It measures about 5 1/8 inches in length and weighs about 10 grams. Offered is a nice American coin silver teaspoon marked J.BELL in a rectangular punch; this spoon is also marked with NY-style manufacturer's marks. I haven't researched this mark, but assume J. Bell was a retailer, most likely in the NE part of the country, but perhaps elsewhere. By style, this spoon should date to the 1840s or 1850s. It has legible marks and a good period engraved script monogram that appears to be "NCH". This spoon measures about 5 13/16 inches in length and weighs about 1...

Offered is a nice American coin silver spoon by Baltimore silversmith Philip Benjamin Sadtler, working in partnership with his sons as P.B. Sadtler & Sons, circa 1837-72. This spoon is probably from the 1840s or 1850s based on style. It is nicely engraved "RCW" in period script, and has a rubbed but legible maker's mark. This piece measures about 5 3/4 inches in length and weighs about 15 grams. Condition is fairly good, with some small dings and dents to the bowl and modest tip wear, but no...

Offered is an American coin silver teaspoon marked L.BROWN in a rectangular punch, which may be for Lester Brown of Cazenovia, NY, or the L. Brown of Rochester, NY who might also be Lester Brown. The dates listed for these names are in the late 1830s or 1840s, consistent with the style of this spoon. This piece measures about 6 1/4 inches in length and weighs about 19 grams. In addition to a well-struck maker's mark, this has a period engraved script monogram. Condition is fairly good overal...

Offered is an interesting American coin silver teaspoon circa 1825-50 marked SCOTT in a primitive scalloped punch. I'm not sure of the maker or the location this spoon was made; there were both Northern and Southern makers by this name. I'd appreciate any thoughts on the origin of this spoon. This spoon has an unusual period engraved script monogram that appears to be "ZO". The maker's mark is clear and legible. This spoon measures about 6 3/16 inches in length, and weighs about 19 grams. ...

Offered is an American coin silver teaspoon made by Hotchkiss & Schreuder of Syracuse, NY, and retailed by one "E. Ferris", location unknown. I've not come across this retailer's mark before. This spoon also has a period engraved script name of "E. M. Conklin" for the original owner. This spoon measures about six inches and weighs about 20 grams.
