Offered is a rare example of the work of unascribed Canton maker "CC", working there circa 1825-30 or slightly later. This piece measures about 5 3/8 inches in length and weighs about 20 grams. It is engraved with an armorial of an oak tree with a fish dangling - very similar to the Glasgow city arms. Condition overall is fair to good, with some moderate surface and tip wear but no splits or repairs. All in all a very good example of a scarce mark in Chinese Export silver!
