Offered is an American coin silver teaspoon marked T.&L.CRANSON in a serrated rectangular punch, circa 1830-50. The T. Cranson in this mark is probably the same person as the T.P. Cranson working in Poplar Ridge, New York (see my other listings for a pair of spoons marked T.P.CRANSON and POPLAR RIDGE). That's about all I can surmise about this piece, which has a rubbed but legible maker's mark, and a period engraved owner's name of P. Jennings. This piece measures about 6 5/16 inches in length and weighs about 19 grams. Condition is fair at best, with the bowl slightly out of round and having some visible scratches, and some surface wear overall. There are no splits or repairs. All in all a nice example of a very uncommon mark!
