Offered is a good American coin silver teaspoon by the Philadelphia partnership of Stauffer & Harley, working from the early 1850s through the early 1860s. This piece is engraved with a period script monogram as well as the date 1859 to the reverse, and may date to around that time - though the engraved date would probably be a little later. This piece also has a clear, well-struck maker's mark or retailer's mark. This spoon measures about 5 5/8 inches in length and weighs about 13 grams. It is in very good condition overall, with minimal wear and no dents, splits or repairs. All in all a good period Philadelphia coin silver spoon!
