SOLD

Offered is a nice early American coin silver teaspoon by Geneva, New York silversmith Abraham Bashara Hall, working circa 1806-50 in that locale. He later worked in Seneca, NY. This teaspoon dates from the early part of his Geneva career; by style, it should date to about 1810-25. It has a lightly struck but legible maker's mark of A*B*H, and a good period engraved script monogram of "SEC". This piece measures about 5 1/2 inches in length and weighs about 14 grams. Condition is fairly good overall, with minor dings and signs of wear, but no splits or repairs. All in all a nice example of this mark, dating back about two centuries!
