Hartford, CT Coin Silver Salt Spoon by Thomas Steele & Company

Offered is a nice Connecticut coin silver salt spoon marked T.STEELE&CO, representing the partnership between Thomas Steele and Dwight H. Buell circa 1858-66. This piece has an attractively shaped bowl and a nicely engraved period script monogram, in addition to the legible maker's mark. It measures about 3 3/4 inches in length and weighs about 6 grams. Condition is very good overall, with no dents, splits or repairs. There is some stubborn tarnish on the bowl that I've not taken the time to address. All in all a nice example of this form!
