Coin Silver Salt Spoon by William Grant, Circa 1821-36
$7.50
Offered is an American coin silver salt spoon by William Grant (Boston, MA circa 1821-35 and Dedham, MA circa 1835-36), which has seen better days. This piece has a period engraved script monogram and a rubbed but still mostly legible maker's mark of W.GRANT in a serrated punch. This salt spoon measures a bit under 3 3/4 inches in length and weighs about 4 grams. Condition is poor, with a dinged bowl and a scoured surface. However, it is still a decent example of this uncommon maker's mark. All in all a nice almost two-century old piece!
