$65.00

Offered is an excellent pair of American coin silver spoons by the little-known partnership of Titlow & Fry, working in Philadelphia circa 1844-48. The maker's mark used by this partnership seems to be quite rare in that no example was found for the book "Philadelphia Silversmiths" by Catherine Hollan, though the mark is described in the book. This pair of spoons is heavy and well made; the spoons measure about 6 1/8 inches in length on average, and weigh a total of about 41 grams. In addition to legible maker's marks, each spoon has a period engraved script monogram. Condition is very good overall, with minimal wear and no splits or repairs. All in all an excellent example of a rare mark!

Available singly for $40.00 or the pair for $65.00
