Offered is a good example of a Philadelphia coin silver spoon, in this case by noted silversmith James Peters, working circa 1813-50. This spoon is probably from the 1830s. It is expertly engraved "AE" in period script, and has a good legible maker's mark for Peters as well as a rubbed standard mark. This piece measures about 6 inches in length and weighs about 18 grams. Condition is good overall, with some small dings to the bowl but no splits or repairs. All in all a good usable piece with nice presence!
