Offered is a very good American coin silver salt spoon in an attractive form, with a spade-shaped bowl. This piece bears one of the maker's marks of noted Philadelphia silversmiths Jacob Stockman, and it dates to about 1830-50. The maker's mark is mostly legible, and this piece also has a period engraved script monogram. This piece measures about 3 7/8 inches in length and weighs about 6 grams. Condition is very good overall with no dents, splits or repairs. All in all a great example of the form and of period Philadelphia coin silver!
