Offered is a nice American coin silver sauce or cream ladle by William and Archibald Cooper (working circa 1835-37 in Cincinnati, OH and circa 1837-46 in Louisville, KY - they also opened a branch store in Frankfort, KY circa 1842). The COOPER maker's mark on this ladle is one that was probably used by the two brothers in partnership. It is slightly rubbed but quite legible. There is no monogram or sign of erasure. This piece measures about 6 1/2 inches in length and weighs about 23 grams. Condition is fair at best, with teething marks/dimpling to the bowl and some modest ripples to the handle. All in all a nice Southern coin silver ladle!
