Offered is a nice American coin silver teaspoon that is Philadelphia in form, and bears the maker's mark of B.R in a serrated punch; this mark appears to be an initials-only mark for Benjamin Robinson (1818-44), and the letters are closely related to his B.ROBINSON mark in a serrated punch. This is an attribution, but a fairly solid one. This piece measures about 5 5/8 inches in length and weighs about 10 grams. It is decorated with a period engraved script "AR" monogram. This piece is in fairly good condition, with some over-polishing and some small dings to the bowl, and a very slight wave to the handle, but no full-on splits and no repairs. All in all a nice example of a rare mark!
