New York Coin Silver Teaspoon by Squire & Lander Ca. 1855-70

Offered is a nice heavy American coin silver tea spoon by the New York City firm of Squire & Lander, working circa 1855-70. This piece has a clear maker's mark or retailer's mark, some manufacturing marks and a period engraved monogram of "MC". This piece measures about 5 5/8 inches in length and weighs a heavy 28 grams or so. It is in excellent condition, with minimal wear and no splits or repairs. All in all nice useful piece of coin silver flatware, more than 150 years old.!
