Prince Albert Pattern Coin Silver Pie Server with Medallion Decoration

Offered is a beautiful American coin silver pie server in the Prince Albert pattern, circa 1850s, with an unusual and nicely done engraved decoration that includes a central medallion of a warrior or demi-god. This piece is marked only with New York maker's marks/manufacturing marks, and could have been retailed in New York or elsewhere. It is monogrammed in tiny period script initials. This piece measures about 9 3/4 inches in length and weighs about 92 grams. It is in excellent original condition with minor wear from normal use and no dents, splits or repairs. All in all a lovely and attractive coin silver server for use or display!
