Nice NYC Coin Silver Teaspoon by Henry Edwin Hoyt with Date Punch Mark
$18.00
Offered is a nice American coin silver teaspoon by New York City silversmith Henry Edwin Hoyt, working there between 1812 and 1852. This piece is easily dated thanks to the year punch of "1826", near the maker's mark. Not sure how long Hoyt did this, but it isn't common. This piece has a clear maker's mark, and a period engraved script monogram. It measures about 5 7/8 inches in length, and weighs about 15 grams. Aside from a little tip wear, it is in good shape with modest surface wear from normal use, and no splits or repairs. Please click on the first picture to see all of the pictures. All in all a nice example of a date-marked spoon from almost two centuries ago!
