An Interesting Coin Silver British Fiddle Style Spoon by James Watts
SOLD
Offered is a very interesting American coin silver teaspoon made by James Watts of Philadelphia, specifically in a British fiddle pattern, with associated weight and proportions, as well as a little-seen lion pseudo-hallmark that appears to denote the piece was made to the sterling standard.
This piece measures about 5 3/8 inches in length and weighs about 22 grams. It is monogrammed in period script, a bit worn but probably an "S" or a "P". Condition is good overall, with some surface wear and weathering, but no dents, splits or repairs. Please click on the first picture to see all of the other pictures. All in all a nice heavy and well-made example!
