Nice 1790s Coin Silver Teaspoon by Hugh Wishart, New York, NY
$28.00
Offered is a nice late 18th Century American coin silver spoon by important New York City silversmith Hugh Wishart (fl. 1793-1824); it is engraved to the front but has no monogram and no obvious sign of erasure. It also has a legible strike of Wishart's maker's mark to the reverse. This piece measures about 5 1/2 inches in length and weighs about 13 grams. Condition is fair overall, with some dings and wear to the bowl, but no splits or repairs. All in all a nice useful spoon from centuries ago!
